On the First Day of Christmas..

Happy Friday, party people!! Today we bring you the first in a series of posts on holiday beers. Go ahead, get excited.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me…….the Celebration Fresh Hop IPA! I can’t say that Sierra Nevada’s winter seasonal is much more than your basic IPA, but isn’t the bottle festive?? Every time I drink it I imagine myself in that cozy, little cabin on the label, snowed in with good beer and great friends.

The Celebration has a medium body, piny hops, a biscuity malt backbone. Like I said, it’s nothing to write home about, but if you need a decent, reasonably priced IPA to bring to a holiday party, it’ll do just fine. Plus, at 6.8% you can have a few without fear of ending up under the mistletoe with someone who you really shouldn’t be kissing. 😉
