Last Saturday night we grabbed beers at Galaxy Hut, a funky, hole-in-the-wall located in Arlington, VA. Rachel went to Galaxy Hut the last time she was in the D.C. area, and knew Maddy would love it. They have an interesting system at Galaxy Hut: you wait in line to order beers and food, no flagging down bartenders or fighting for space at the bar here! They offer an impressive 20+ beers on tap, and Maddy was actually able to try a DC Brau beer that the brewery had already run out of during our visit.
After a long day of traveling and beer tasting, Galaxy Hut was the perfect spot to relax with cold brews and catch up with friends new and old. We soaked up the last few hours of warm weather on their patio, and then moved to a cozy table inside. It was exactly the chill Saturday night we were looking for. Next time you’re in the Arlington area, we highly recommend grabbing dinner and beers at Galaxy Hut. They offer the typical diner fare, but with a twist: for every meat entrée there’s an accompanying vegetarian option. Cheesesteak? They’ve got it. Vegan cheesesteak? Yep, they’ve got that too. The eggplant fries we ordered as a midnight snack were devoured in minutes…beer drinking works up an appetite!
