WHITE ALES OVER EVERYTHING

I think it started with Bell’s Winter White Ale…or maybe it was Dogfish Head’s Namaste. Nevertheless, I have been drinkin’ white ales like they’re water. White ales, also known as witbiers, are light and tangy brews that pour a hazy color. Today I had a happy hour of my own with Clown Shoes’ Clementine White Ale.  I gotta say, I wish I had saved this beer for when I didn’t have a cold, because I know the flavors were amazing. I was still able to pick up on the yeasty, orange peel characteristics, but unfortunately I think I missed some of the more subtle flavors. Reviews on BeerAdvocate mentioned honey, peach, and clove (uh..YUM). Until next time, Clementine!clementine
