Happy Sunday fellow beer babes! Today I decided to crack open Breckenridge’s Ophelia Hoppy Wheat Ale. Hoppy and Wheat? Oh you mean my two most favorite things? Dunzo, I had to try it. Plus, the label caught my eye because, as always, Breckenridge delivered with some baller artwork.
The Ophelia pours a hazy straw color, smells floral and slightly citrusy, and tastes pretty damn delicious. The wheat flavor is definitely at the forefront of this brew, with the hops taking a back seat. The Ophelia is light, coming from the balance of hops and wheat, with an orangey aftertaste. This is the kind of beer that you can (and should) drink a few of without filling yourself up. Now go get your Sunday Funday on!!!
